Who We Are

We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that works to support mothers of children from birth to age five with friendship, fellowship and fun. We organize a variety of activities and events every month for kids and moms. 

Children are welcome at all Madtown Moms functions, and while some of the groups and clubs are aimed at moms and some are more for the kids, both moms and kids benefit from these gatherings. Many of us have found that it is within these smaller groups that moms really become friends (and sometimes that goes double for the kids!). 

• Playgroups: Playgroups are mostly grouped by age, but there is also a new open playgroup for a variety of ages. Moms take turns hosting playgroups in their home or at a local park or play area. Fun for kids and moms alike!

• Membership Meeting: Each month board members host a meeting for all members to discuss club business and enjoy social time. The meeting is held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on County Road PD in Fitchburg, unless otherwise noted. Attend a meeting this month and meet some new friends!

• Community Outreach: Helping Hands assists members in times of need, whether it’s the arrival of a new baby, illness, or unexpected hardship. Our support for families with young children extends beyond our club boundaries and into the community. Activities include preparing Thanksgiving baskets for needy families and conducting holiday toy drives.

• Special Interests: Madtown Moms organizes a number of activities each month for readers (Book Club), crafters (Project Club), film buffs (Moms at the Movies), moms only (Mom’s Night Out) and more.

Membership

Madtown Moms always welcomes new members from anywhere in the greater Madison area. Attend one of our meetings or public events before deciding if you wish to join.

Plus when you join, you'll be matched with a "buddy"--another Madtown Moms member to fill you in on the choice of activities for you and your kids. And you'll always see a friendly face when you participate in any of our fun events!

Annual dues are just $24, based on an October-September year. New member dues are prorated based on the month of membership.

We understand that families with young children are often on tight budgets, if the dues would be a financial hardship for you, please discuss a waiver with one of the club board members.

Madtown Moms publishes a monthly newsletter of club events and activities—the Madtown Flash.

Welcome new babies and new members. Find out about news and trends affecting moms in our area. And if you have a home-based business, take advantage of our newsletter to let people know about your product or service!
